Ranitidine Hydrochloride Injection IP is primarily used in hospitalized patients or situations where oral administration is not feasible. It is commonly employed for short-term treatment of active duodenal ulcers, active benign gastric ulcers, and GERD. It can also be used as a preventive measure for stress ulcers in critically ill patients. This injection works by selectively blocking H2 receptors on the parietal cells in the stomach. This action reduces the production of gastric acid, helping to alleviate conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.  Moreover, this Ranitidine Hydrochloride Injection IP should be used with caution in patients with impaired liver or kidney function.
